SO many things stand out in this little book, what do you think was "the theme'?

WEll, just of the top of my head....not off with my head, mind you! Children are wiser than we give them credit for sometimes; and to live life with the heart of a child. It seems as important today and it did back then.

That's a great theme Nemosfriend! I like the way you think! I wondered a bit about the transition from childhood to adulthood and also thought that Alice learned about standing up for herself...

That's sounds great too. Every culture it seems has a rite of passage from those tender years to "adult"hood. And in our country, if you don't belong to a tradition that does something.. you are kind left to creating your own...since I believe it's an inherent need. Maybe Alice in Wonderland is such a classic because it provides that knowledge...even in a symbolic way? Hmmm.

I like it, especially when you look at how old the messages are and still how valid they are in today's world!

Wow - these are great ideas! Overall themes are pretty much over my head, but reading your thoughts, nemosfriend, I think you're right on the money.

Thank you for sharing that!
