Here are some great places to visit that talk about the "steampunk" genre of writing. If you ever watched the old TV show "Wild Wild West" or saw the recent movie. it's a great example of "steampunk" writing, as are most things written by H.G. Wells. http://www.boston.com/news/globe/ideas/art...e_of_steampunk/

Here are some articles with steampunk info that I thought were interesting.

AND here are a couple of things about dirigibles!

I never heard of 'steampunk'.
I was a huge fan of The Wild, Wild West in the late '60's!
I learned something new today!

Those gadgets are all pretty freaky!

Well, I'm late to this topic ! whistle.gif

The first time I've heard of this too. So thankyou.gif Karen for keeping us on track !
Would have completely gone over my head like a gust of wind if you hadn't given us this tip.

OK then, this reminds me of a few things:
1) The Jetsons
2) The movie with a Balloon that goes to 100 lands or something...
3) The Subculture / Fashion section from Wiki drove me straight into Tim Burton and the Mad Hatter ! unsure.gif

Based on this, I can comment on my thoughts for Johnny's role in the story with more confidence.
