The Arthurian legend as retold in the American Old West, with all of its great symbolism, magic and spirit of adventure. The Knights of the Round Table are all gunslingers bound by a code of honor to protect the weak and defend the innocent until they are undone from within by their own moral corruption. In this tale, Caliber itself is a tattooed six-gun, given to Arthur by the Indians and imbued with supernatural power. The secret of the gun is that it is never loaded with bullets, but when a man with Justice on his side is holding it, it can fire. When it does, it fires Thunder itself and never misses.

Genre: Mythical Western; Fantasy
Comic Book Release: May 2008

Not a regular cowboy is for sure! Interesting NEW idea they've got there.
I'm not sure if I've go this idea right or not. blink.gif

So Arthur is the name of the cowboy.
Indians gave Arthur a gun named Calibur.
Calibur, the gun, has tattoos, and it shoots only as necessary at amoral people?

Is this correct interpretation???

I imagine this will be better than Rex. I found the Rex Mundi story a bit difficult, a little too deep in the Grail quest for my knowledge base. Corrupt Knights of the Round Table sounds more eaily pallitable. tongue.gif Maybe even Funny, in a black humor sort of way. Cowboy kills Crooked politicians. thumbsup.gif What stops cowboy from pointing gun at everyone? Just to check, eh? whistle.gif

Hesitating, but I guess I'll be purchasing a Graphic Novel in the near future too.
I find them kind of expensive though. One must really stop and look at the graphic flowers during the read. I sure hope our Cowboy resembles someone I know and love! crossfingers.gif

I know practically nothing about this area, so here's a little overview of the myth. It's just the very tip of an Iceberg me thinks.

Rex was the first graphic novel I ever read and surprisingly, I really enjoyed it!
This one looks to be just as interesting!

Here's another article from last July that not only mentions "Caliber" but that IN already has their hands on it. Not surprising...

FULL ARTICLE
Intandem has Radical idea for content
By Stuart Kemp

July 17, 2007

LONDON -- U.K.-based sales, production and finance house Intandem, listed here on the Alternative Investment Market, is embarking on a corporate strategy lifted straight out the pages of a comic book.

Radical's slate also includes Sam Sarkar's comic creation "Caliber," which is being produced with Infinitum Nihil, Terrance Chang and John Woo for Lionrock Prods., with Woo attached to direct.

Gosh I love REX MUNDI and really enjoy reading the series. I can't wait to read the 4th book in the series, CROWN AND SWORD http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/159307824...ASIN=1593078242

I just love this stuff. lol But we all have differing interests. I'm glad that Johnny's attracted to so many different subjects and themes. wink.gif
