Now, just for the heck of it, what is the one scene that you are really looking forward to seeing Johnny do in the movie?
Is there something out there that we haven't covered about the play that you want to visit about? Remember please keep it PG 13! LOL Thanks!

I've got a mess of them, but I think that one of the scenes would have to be the one with King Charles and Rochester and those letters from his father..............oh what a heart breaker!!

Since I don't have that scene in my copy, I think I would have to say the opening and closing monologues, if they do them. They set the mood for the whole play and brings the play to a concrete conclusion. I guess I am curious as to how, or if, they will do this.

NOW, there is a contridiction of terms Karen!!
No, seriously, I think the best scene is the same one that has my favourite speech, when John is talking to the King about his father and the letters he received in France. I almost cried in that one, I found it very moving. I also liked the one where Jane helps the Wits check out the play, that could be a great scene in the film. I really, really hope they keep it Olde English. I know we discussed that point before, but it's niggling in the back of my brain! Do you realise that if they modernise it, our little discussion group will probably be among the only bunch of viewers who will have had the pleasure of experiencing how it should have been spoken? That would be a shame. I doubt if Joe Public will rush out to buy the play.

I hope they have the monologues too, but with JD saying them we will probably have difficulty seeing John in the same way as we do in the book. Either that, or we will just become puddles on the floor after the first one and miss the rest of the film!! I would quite like the first monologue spoken over a view of the countryside or London or something like that, with just the voice to concentrate on. Did that make sense?

Oooo YES!! That should be great. I can see it now! Poor Johnny!! I hope she's holding a shovel at the time!!Do we know who got the part of Jane? Now that is the part I would have liked, I really like her more than either of the Lizzies, she's quite a character.
