I am very sad to report that Johnny and Vanessa have announced that they have officially separated.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Depp/ Paradis family as they go through this private and very painful time in a very public way, We hope that they all will be able to move forward.
Since they do ask that we respect the privacy of their children, please keep any comments made here in a respectful manner. We know their children are in pain, and I don't want anyone here to add to their suffering. I don't want to shut down this thread. Thanks.

I wish and pray for the best for both of them and for the children. I am sure it is not an easy time for them but that Johnny, the good father he is, will do his utmost to help the kids adjust and cope. I do hope that the press respects their privacy and acts accordingly. They deserve to be left in peace, especially the children.

I just caught this on a news page and I'm just gutted. I was hoping if there were issues that they could work them out.
I wish them both the best in wherever their lives lead them in the future and good thoughts and love to them all.

Johnny's parents were divorced, and we know Johnny and Vanessa are both loving parents. I think we can be certain that they put their children first.
We have no idea how long they have already been apart. Hopefully they are all OK emotionally and felt that it was an appropriate time to make this difficult news public.

I was really sad to hear the news about Johnny and Vanessa today, but glad they have amicably separated. My thoughts are with the family and I hope they are all coping with this being in the public domain now.

Regardless of level of motivation, depth of love, shared concern for children and all other considerations, it is often quite difficult for high profile "celebrity" couples to maintain a long term relationship. I think it's such a credit to both of them that they were able to have the committed relationship they enjoyed for so many years.

It's sad that it didn't work out. I have the feeling that they already separated a while ago and waited for the right moment to announce it officially. I know many families where the parents at one point separated and found new partners and the kids are fine. It's all a matter how the parents handle it. I trust Johnny and Vanessa. They always cared so much about their kids so that I'm sure they will still put them first whatever they do. Honestly if there wouldn't be the photos of Johnny looking relaxed and enjoying the music I would have been more worried about him. The family gave him a stability that before he never had. I hope the public will leave them alone now that it is officially announced.
