I've loved him since I was a little kid and remember his Barnabas Collins like it was yesterday. Few actors can make such an indelible mark. Wish he could have been around for the hubbub that will surround the premiere.

I was ONE OF THE ORIGINAL FANS. i DID run home to absorb the new and EXTRAORDINARY splendor of this new and utterly out of the world, groovy, outtasite and so forth series (NOT IN RERUNS EITHER). I noticed the errors and dismissed them with love of what it was, and really GOT INTO the world of DARK SHADOWS (Geesh, I had a friend who filed her teeth and at times thought she was a witch due to this program). BUT... I am also enjoying the light hearted, full expression of Depp and Burton and I still think... I'm gonna like this "parody" sort of thing on what we loved back then. Just MY humble opinion here. This is NOT due to a love of Depp and Burton, but a love of what they enjoyed and what we did too. It's NOT Dark Shadows as we loved back then.. but what we/they can bring to the slighlty different generation today. Well, that's what I have to say.. off the soapbox....
