Donna I am looking forward to this film and I guess with Harry P and only one more Edward/Bella flick left fans have rallied around this book series; it will be interesting to see how closely the film version follows the book. Anne r

I just hope the film is faithful to the book as most of the HPotter films were. I understand it will be PG-13 which is fine with me--there were some parts of the books that were graphic.

Guess I'm first up writing my impressions of the film. If you enjoyed the books, you'll like this film--VERY faithful to the story It was very interesting to see the "look" of the characters. Very well acted--wonderful performances by Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Woody Harrelson(Perfect as Haymitch!), & Elizabeth Banks. Jennifer Lawrence was very good as Katniss along with the other young actors(in my opinion). The special effects weren't "great" but that didn't bother me that much. The books were graphic in parts, but for the PG13 rating, these parts went by very quickly or were "seen/heard" off camera(which was fine with me.) The film is about 2 hours 40 minutes(that might include end credits), but my interest was held the whole time. (Use the bathroom right before the movie if you see it )My DD and I went to a 9:15 show & the theater was full, as well as playing in 2 other theaters about the same time. This film is doing great business. I'm excited now for the 2nd film. I'd love to hear from anyone else that has seen it.
On a side note--the DS trailer was attached to this film, too.
