FINALLY was able to see this lovely film! I think it will be hard to beat for Best Picture at the Oscars. This was a very gutsy movie, and they brought back what was "old" & made it "new" again. thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif I also believe Dujardin should win Best Actor, but to be honest, I haven't seen The Descendants.. ninja.gif

Oh I'm so glad that you started this thread!! I LOVE THE ARTIST! I absolutely think DuJardin should get Best Actor for his rolee!! He acted without words... he was brilliant!! The whole movie is stunning! Acting, sets, production, costumes!!

I love HUGO too and wish that Hugo and The Artist could sweep the Oscars next week, and I think it's amazing that the two really gorgeous films this year are both about the beginnings of the film community and the "art" of film making. These two films are both works of "art."

Just as a side thought, I would have loved to have seen what Johnny might have done with a film like The Artist.

I'm somewhat disappointed in the lack of attention to War Horse--I thought it a wonderful film & at least a cinemetography win would be nice.

Having said that, I agree with you Karen about Dujardin---I would have LOVED to have seen Johnny in this film---I think he would have been brilliant.

Is it too early to start an Oscar's Prediction thread? tongue.gif

Agreed! I am sad that War Horse seems to have been forgotten, the cinematography is stunning!
