AND can't help but wonder if a separate regular DVD will be available? Why should those of us who don't have Blu-ray be forced to pay this ridiculous price for things we can't use?? Is this the first time a studio has released a film this way? I understand what you mean Karen about paying for what you don't use---I know for me, I have the BluRay player so I want that, I use the DVD when I go somewhere that I don't have a BluRay player ie. my laptop or work, my daughert will used the digital copy usually, but the BRay 3D is a waste for me HOWEVER, if I eventuallly get one someday, I won't need to buy another DVD Now on amazon--is that $8 coupon off the $34.99 price? If so, that would make it not that bad of a price. Yes the coupon appears to give you a discount off of the Amazon price. But for me? That means that I pay $27. for the one DVD that I can use. And I bet you are right that the fifth piece sure could be the extras.

I think it has to do with getting a higher price for the DVD package and not giving us any option. Buy it all or not. Sadly, the trend lately has been to include all of the neat extras on the Blu-ray edition. And I won't be forced to buy something I don't want like a Blu-Ray player just to watch the extras.

So I'll wait to see if they offer anything else.

Or I won't buy it at all.

Looks to be a release of October 18th---this isn't an official announcement, but we'll have to keep a sharp eye!
