I've been looking forward to this film since I read the book a couple of years ago---the movie did not disappoint. The acting was spot on and even though I knew the story,found myself tearing up in many parts and laughing out loud in others. I don't know what the Oscar bait films will be like coming out this fall, but if this film doesn't get some nominations, I'll be surprised.

Jessica Chastain was great, Sissy Spacek in a small but wonderful part, Allison Janney(sp?) as Skeeter's mother,plus Viola Davis & Octavia Spencer,Bryce Dallas Howard(Ron Howard's daughter) deserves an award as well. Did anyone that's seen the film think that Emma Stone looked like a young Lindsey Lohan?

Anyone else see this? thoughts?
