Yes--very much, she had seen it already, but since I was out of town told me she would see it with me, too. She's read the books many times over, & she still liked the film knowing that much had to be cut. I think they concentrated on the main people/events that were needed to tell/end the story.

You're right, they had to pick and choose what they had the time to use in the movie. I know that frustrates a lot of people, for any book to movie adaptation.
Glad to know that your DD loved the movie. I think it might be interesting to read the books again, in order.

YES--it was great to see Neville in the last film become so grown up & a leader I agree, given the length of the whole series of books, the films were as faithful as possible.

I agree Karen--and my daughter did exactly this since DH #1 came out last year.
She had read somewhere that Rowling insisted that all the characters be included in the films even though some of their stories were shortened or cut down a lot. I didn't remember that Harry raised Prof. Lupin's son in the end....
