I saw HUGO in 2D yesterday with only 8 other patrons which was disappointing but not surprising as The Muppets, Happy Feet 2, and Arthur's Christmas were also available for families. The film was visually stunning and the acting was awesome. I was especially impressed with Sasha B. Cohen he was spot-on as the Inspector and he handled his "handicap" with great humility and humor. This is a "thinking" film for children and their parents and I think word of mouth will increase box office numbers after the hype of the films noted above passes in a week or so. Please consider seeing it in 3D I passed because my holiday list includes 4 other films but I regret that I did not see it in 3D. I have dug out my copy of HUGO from my dusty bookshelves and intend to indulge myself in this great book as an added holiday treat. PS Depp's name as producer as well as the the IN logo appear front and center well before the well known directors name which made me smile a bit. Anne r

I saw Hugo yesterday. Wow, I was impressed. The angles that they filmed were amazing in 3D. And Hugo's eyes!!! Wow, they sure said a lot. My Grand daughter got a bit bored close to the end, but my Grandson loved the movie. He even understood the meaning of the movie...that people are like machines and can be broken, but can be fixed. I was very proud of him. I highly recommend that, if you can, see this movie in 3D. I think its the first movie that the 3D was utilized perfectly. Joanie

Joanie I am glad you and your grandkids enjoyed HUGO and i am returning to see it in 3D soon-should have seen it that way the first time around but one never knows with 3D if it is worth it or not since almost all films are 3D. Anne r
