We mentioned these books in the Eclipse topic, and I am half way through the first book, Dark Lover.

Well, it is nothing like the Twilight series, much much darker, and the vampires are definately not vegetarians, but they dont feed off humans either....well, not often. rolleyes.gif

In this version of vampires, most of the old stories are false, but these still can't go out in the daylight, even if it is not sunny.

I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy it at first, but now I can't put it down.

This is definately an ADULT book, so if you are reading this and under 18, I am not recommending it to you...not that that will stop you of course. rolleyes.gif

The main male character is Wrath, and he makes Edward from Twilight sound like a mouse compared to his size and ....well, you would have to read it to see what I mean. The language is a bit ripe in places, and the sex is.... thud1.gif

Anyway, I just thought you may like to know, concidering we mentioned this before.

Thanks for starting this thread! biggrin.gif

I went to the States this weekend, and bought Lover Unbound (book 5?).
It was so cheap compared to the canadian version (about 60% cheaper) . at Walmart for $5.97. can't beat that price for a best seller!

I'm looking forward to reading it.
At the moment, beginning, I'm not impressed, as there's a well-to-do girl with a mercedes driving mom, and even has house help, unable to have a sleep over because her dad's retuning from a business trip early. sad.gif

I'm looking forward to the love scenes, and actually getting through my first ever GROWNUP vampire novel ! snoopydance1.gif

I hope I make it through alive! ninja.gif

I'm glad you got the book cheap. woohoocheer.gif

Book 5 sounds NOTHING like the first book. I hope the author didn't run out of things to write about. unsure.gif Hopefully it will get better.

Book 1, Chapter 8. thud1.gif whistle.gif laugh.gif

I started this series too. I love it! Definitely different from the Twilight series! I finished Books 1-3 this week, as Anne said, once you get into the first book you are hooked! I do recommend reading them in order! Each Book is focused on one of each of the Warriors, but they are all included in each one and you learn more and more about all of them in each book. I love how the women are strong and don't take crap from the guys! LOL And yes, they are adult books IYKWIM! whistle.gif thud1.gif

Book 1 - Dark Lover - Wrath
Book 2 - Lover Eternal - Rhage
Book 3 - Lover Awakened - Zsadist
Book 4 - Lover Revealed - Butch
Book 5 - Lover Unbound - Vishous
Book 6 - Lover Enshrined - Phury

I can tell you I never thought I would be reading about Vampires and liking them so much! I had some other friends reading this series and kept telling me to read them and I kept saying no thanks, I'm not really into vampires. But them after reading the Twilight series, they said I HAD to read these! And I am glad I did! You get more and more into them as each story unfolds! When I finished Book 3 today, I was wiped out from being on such an emotional ride!

Just got back from Borders (where I had a lovely Birthday gift card burning a hole in my pocket) with a handful of those books. Funny thing is I looked and looked in the Fantasy area and couldn't find them. Wandered over to the help area and asked the very nice young woman where they were and she laughed and said "Oh those are in Romance" I was so surprised. Vampire books in "Romance"....lol who'd a thunk it? But then I had also been hunting a book on the King Arthur legends and hunted all over "Literature"...nope that one WAS in Fantasy. LOLOL Good thing they don't have me shelving books. laugh.gif
