This site works on html, so codes are required....DON'T PANIC....it's easy!!!

To Post Pictures
Click on the little button marked IMG. It will bring up a box for you to paste your photobucket IMG code in, hit OK, and that is it.

To Post Links
The same as for Pictures above, but use the http button, and paste in the URL for a site, or for linking to a large picture in your photobucket.

Other buttons
B makes thinks BOLD
I Posts in Italics
U Underlines
Font, size, color and

speak for themselves

Either click on the button once, type in what you want altered, then click the button again, or just highlight what you have typed and hit the approriate button once. The code will be put on for you.

Like I said....EASY!!!!

If you go to just below the banner, where it says MY CONTROLS - The last item on that line is My Assistant

You have several option in there, and Todays Active Topics will give you everything posted that day.

OK, I'm having trouble getting my avatar from my photobucket pasted into the spot on my profile. I've copied it, but when I go to paste the URL in the space, it won't come up. I'm sure there's an easy answer--------any help would be appreciated. Sorry, I'm so noncomputer savvy when it comes to this! :(

Hiya Donna.

You need to be posting in the URL link....not the IMG link from your photobucket.

I can't actually remember if the http:// code is already showing in the avatar box, but if it is, delete it before you post your link.

I hope this works, but if not, shout again.

Thanks Anne, but it still didn't work. The http:// keeps popping back up even when I delete it. I finally just copied the avatar from my photobucket to my computer and uploaded it that way. Has anyone else had this problem?

I did. In the end I just posted it back to my computer and browsed for it there and did it that way.

Jesse told us in another thread that our avatars need to be stored on the home page, the front page of the photobucket and not in an album. Go figure. She says for what ever reason...it matters.

This is an odd conflict between Photobucket and the IPB boards which I've never understood. You can post an avatar stored in an album as an image using an IMG tag like this:

(That's Orlando's dog Sidi! )

But try grabbing the URL of the same avatar in the album and posting it as a profile icon and it doesn't want to know! It's beyond me! :lol:

OK, at least I know it wasn't just me-*L*

I'll try putting the pic on my main page and then seeing if it works. Thanks for the tips ladies! ;)

Anne, you can access your PM area via My Controls in the area right under the "Banner" pic at the top of the page....and there's tons of options there for you to choose from! Check your in box. I just Pmed you! :)
