Okay, Now that I just got done with Public Enemies, can someone suggest another great book for me? I enjoyed PE. I am into things of that nature and I also like to read and watch things about the Titanic. I'm not much into romance anymore since my divorce. Adventure I guess is my best subject. Thanks...

Amber, we have several books posted here that people have recommended. I hope you can find something that interests you!

Also, Amber, have you read Bryan Burrough's other book, "Barbarians At the Gate"? If you liked PE you'll probably enjoy that one too.

Thanks for the link. I picked one that sounds good. ''The Bounty'' by Caroline Alexander. I really like reading about the sea, especially after watching Johnny on the ''Caribbean'', and like before, things of that nature. [under the sea too] . :captain

Amber, I have a recommendation for you in the future, since you enjoyed Public Enemies. The Vendetta (FBI Hero Melvin Purvis's War against Crime, and J. Edgar Hoover's War against Him) is written by Melvin Purvis's son, Alston Purvis, and is a fascinating look at SAC Purvis and his relationship with Hoover. It's a very personal, very readable historical portrait.

Thanks Rose. I really appreciate that. How awesome to have something to read that is written by someone who really knows. I just might start with that, being that PE is fresh. :thanks

I ordered this book through Amazon. They have an estimated ship date of the 18th. Man, I hate waiting don't you? I was watching vh1 classic video and saw one by Winger. OMG. I forgot how hot he was. It made me go to Amazon too and I also ordered his greatest hits. Does anyone else like him? Just to state, I just said he was hot but...you all know how no one else compares to our JOHNNY...

I just received my book today from Amazon. I can't wait till tonight to start it. I ordered 'The Bounty" at my local book store. I'll get it tomorrow after work. I'm excited to start that one too. Hey girls, I'm sorry for mentioning someone else on this site other than our baby, Johnny. I just wanted to tell you my other interests. That was a long time ago when I really didn't know about Johnny.

I'm really getting into ''The Vendetta''. It is really easy to see why Hoover would have something against Purvis. I guess he was jealous of him, is that what everyone else thinks? I'm only on Chapter three[?]. I didn't quite like reading the part about his ancesters back in the 1800. After that part, it got interesting. I'm really looking forward to continue this story.

So do you think you'd recommend it?

Karen, I do think I would highly recommend it for someone who has read PE. Could I ask you why you asked me that?

Sure, I don't want to buy it if it's not a good read.

Oh, I think it puts alot of things in prospective. It makes things clearer, I think. I hope you are considering on getting it and enjoy it too. Let me know if you decide to get it, okay?
