Ok...I've been waiting to post this until I found out if I was in or not... I'm In!

There is going to be a screening of the Corpse Bride in Austin, Tx on Thursday evening..Mike Johnson is one of the named people who are supposed to be there...there are other "rumored" names..and it is FREE...there will also be a question and answer session...so..if anyone has a question you would like for me to ask Mike Johnson..let me know..I'll see if I get called on for a question and can get it answered.....

I can't believe that I made it on the guest list.....must be this good ole' JDR luck is rubbing off

Hello.....what an amazing evening...i got to the screening early..right after my son got out of school..got to the theater at around 4:00-4:15..my group was #5,6, and 7 in line...we were right in the front...so we knew that we were in the group that was going to get the question and answer session with Mike Johnson....we did lots of people watching..there are some really weird people who live in Austin...hence the bumper stickers "Keep Austin Weird"...I read the austin cronicle newspaper while we waited our 2 hours in line...but instead of us waiting in the 102 degree austin heat..we were indoors in the airconditioning being served beer or soft drinks..there was a lovely article about the corpse bride in it with a Q&A with Mike Johnson...did not know that he is from Austin....anyway...then they made the crazy announcement that no one liked...no cameras or cell phones allowed in the theater..so I raced to put mine in the car...then they put us through two security check points..they went through our purses and then scanned us...not once but twice...tight security..and they looked tough...

once we were finally in the theater...we ordered our food (this theater serves food in the theater..the same one I saw CATCF at)...and i notice this guy just strolling around the theater and it looks like Mike Johnson...i asked the waiter if that was him..he did not know who Mike Johnson was..so he asked his manager and sure enough it was...i asked if i could ask him for an autograph and he said sure why not..he's out in public....so I took my shy self out of my seat and walked up to him and told him that I loved his work and was a big fan and could i have his autograph..he said sure...i handed him the production picture of him with the horse and the character models from corpse bride..he made a comment about the picture and signed it..then i told him that i post at the web site JDR and could he sign another picture for JDR..he said sure and he signed a picture for us here..will post it in a minute i thanked him for his autograph and sat down just as the movie started..

the movie was fantastic..better than Nightmare..will not give any spoilers but my favorite right now was the spiders mending....enought said

then the Q&A..Mike is a nice guy...only have pleasant things to say about him....down to earth and gracious...he answered everyone's questions till there were no more...my question was.......how difficult is it to work with tim when he and johnny start in on their own shorthand language...he laughed and said that he just stands back and watches and observes..that it is not difficult but fun to watch it...

again...well done

thank you for all your good wishes...i made it...i got to breathe the same air as someone who has breathed johnny's air...i'm getting closer

they gave us all goodies..there were posters and key chains and coasters...i got 3 of the 4 poster designs...will show one of them with the next post with the mike johnson autograph..

well...i had to ask a question that was Johnny related...

ya'll are so welcome..you all helped me get in there.....it was so worth the stress and battle....but what amazed me was that nobody sitting around me knew who Mike Johnson was..when i was trying to make sure that was him before i made a fool of myself asking for his autograph.......look at well educated we have become being Johnny fans
