I just noticed in the Upcoming Events section, that the Saturn Awards will be held on June 24--Tuesday. AWE, ST and Johnny have all been nominated in various categories. Does anyone know if this will be televised at some point?

Donna, that's really interesting. I thought the Saturn Awards were basically for Science Fiction and Fantasy, but from what I've just read they are trying to make it more mainstream. Apparently they had been televised in the past, but had poor ratings and no one willing to produce the show. The Award Show going mainstream is not making loyal SciFi fans very happy.

Thanks, I had the Saturn Award site earlier this year but no open membership was listed at that time. Maybe you have to join this year to vote next year. I would consider but Johnny will probably not be nominated since he has no movie out in 2008 ( sob ) .

Well, there were some surprises. Will Smith :blink: won best actor. ST won as best horror film and Colleen Atwood for costumes. Ve Neil/Martin Samuel won for makeup for AWE. Congrats to them - all very well deserved.
