Osh, a 5th grade teacher asked a coworker whose hubby is in the industry how to contact Johnny and they provided his publicist's address and she contacted him about her student reporters who wanted to interview Johnny. The kids are apparently on the school newspaper staff. The teacher had the kid "reporters" come up with some questions, she chose a couple from each kid. They all got an autographed pic. All 21 of them. One of the pics was also signed to the school, it will be on display in the lobby of the school this fall. The kids did a sort of reenactment with one asking this question (and I paraphrase) How old was he when he knew he wanted to act? His paraphrased response is one that we've heard before, lol that he didn't know if he ever wanted to act, still doesn't know that he wants to act and that he's had stranger jobs.

Oh and he answered all of their questions.

Sometimes I wish the news channels online would put an expanded print story with their videos for the deaf and hard of hearing.

You're welcome! I was hoping that we'd get to see the Q&A that the kids got. I also looked all over for a transcript of the report. My sis' best friend is severly hearing impared and we are always looking to trascriptions of things.

This was so neat. If you do watch the video, make sure to hang on a bit longer at the end as they have a clip of the station's funny weatherman (at least, he was amusing to me). :P

Besides this being a really cute story and a sweet thing for Johnny to do to autograph all those pictures for the kids and the school (I wonder if he personalized all of them) while he is so busy making PE, it is also great PR for Johnny and the movie. The more people who read/hear this kind of thing, the more they are going to want to see this movie (some maybe even to just check out Johnny after reading/hearing so much about him) and buy the DVD. I'll bet there are a lot of new Johnny admirers after PE comes out, if not before it's even released just because of stuff like this. :D
