According to one of the gals on Rod's blog, Jerry came out last night after shooting in Milwaukee and said that Johnny would not be coming out, but would come out after shooting on Thursday (his last day there). But he warned that shooting could go onto anywhere from 11pm to 5am.

Shakenbsis and Vix headed down tonight in the storm, I hope they are safe. Oshkosh is under a State of Emergency. I'm glad I decided to stay home, or I wouldn't have been able to get back home!

I was glad to hear you didn't go to Milwaukee. The interstate is closed outside of Johnson Creek coming back from Milwaukee and parts of 41 are closed between Oshkosh or Milwaukee so we would not have made it home if we went. I hope Shakenbsis makes it home ok. My mom is trapped in her house as the highways and interstates around her all shut down. The damn in Wyocena broke last night too so the Crawfish is overflowing which means Columbus probably got more flooding too.

I can't take anymore rain. Seriously the weekend is calling for more. I don't know if we can handle more.

Not only keep us in Wisconsin in your prayers but also for Iowa too. They are getting destroyed.

Karen thanks for those links---some great pics of Johnny and his fans once again. I thought the other guy's write up interesting--he's the first person that has said Johnny looks "old" and shows his age :blink: Maybe it's the makeup, but in the fan meeting pics, he looks pretty youthful to me. :D

I was going to go to Milwaukee last night, but, like Osh, decided not to because of the weather. Hope Osh and all in that area are dry and safe today. I know it was really bad. I'm really sorry I didn't brave the rain though because I heard from a friend of mine who I met in Aurora that Johnny did come out around 6:00 this morning and met with the fans. She said he not only met with them, but was signing autographs! :claphands Hopefully Shakenbsis and Vix can give us their report after they've had a good nap!

Terry thanks for the update---I hope everyone is staying safe and heeding the weather warnings. I, too, hope shakenbsis and Vix are OK and maybe were able to meet Johnny.

Sorry to say, I didn't find out about the filming until late Tuesday night.
On Wednesday, I hopped some buses to get downtown, went to the Historical Society, and was told that they were going to be doing some filming on Prospect Avenue. I hiked over to the address, and arrived there at 2PM. It seemed like the weather was starting to get a lot cooler than I had anticipated. There were about 20-30 fans there at the time, and we were all anxious to catch a glimpse, if not to meet Johnny personally. After about an hour or so, I was really trembling uncontrollably (think due to nervous excitement and the weather change). I tried to stick it out as long as I could, but had to give up shortly after 9PM. While I was there I heard all kinds of rumors as to a meet & greet, as well as varying times and locations where it would occur. I think there were about 100 fans there by the time I left.
On Thursday, I had planned to give it another shot, but managed to get a killer migraine, as well as a fever of 103.2 from the night before. Needless to say, I was stuck in bed most of the day. I really, really wanted to get the opportunity to see Johnny, and if I was really lucky, possibly get him to autograph a copy of one of my wallpapers. Being sick as I was, and the weather being even worse, I just lay in bed feeling miserable and thinking about a missed opportunity.
I'm glad that the persistance paid off for a few fans, but sorry that I wasn't able to be one of them. At least I got to meet and talk to some of the nice fellow fans.
Now, I think I better go back to bed... still trying to shake the migraine and fever.
