The Black Pearl is silhouetted off the Palos Verdes Estates coast. The ship is part of the third Pirates of the Carribean movie.
Palos Verdes Peninsula residents may notice a clattering helicopter buzzing the coastline periodically for the next week or so. It's being used to film "Pirates of the Caribbean III."
The helicopter will fly no closer than 3,000 feet from the coastline to minimize noise while ferrying cameras and a barrel off Palos Verdes Estates' Rocky Point.
