An amusing look at the life of a walk-around character by a former "Captain Jack Sparrow" at Disneyland (Pinto aka Hillock), "former" being the operative word here. But beware----some of it is not exactly PG-13.

interesting, that guy looks like Jack Sparrow. I saw one last year when we were there and he didn't look anything like Jack.

I have seen this Jack at our renaissance faire. He is a very GOOD Jack. I also know another Jack that is currently working at Disneyland from our faire as well.... I have only ever seen them both be respectful of guests and fans.

Thanks Rose for the link!

Very interesting--I know when I've been at DLand, the CJS impersonator was "flirting" with the women-------and vice versa! :)

THe "Jack" that I saw last year was FABULOUS!

He was my fave and always so sweet to me. I miss him. I know Disney and used to work at the Disney Store, so they do protect the company and their mascots, (characters) it is in their contract. I understand his point of view and theirs. It is a pity we lost such a fine talent and cast member. He did a great job! He was great with the guests. He really did Johnny and Captain Jack proud. I enjoyed reading that article.

Really enjoyed reading this...thanks for sharing the article!

Whenever they have the Pirate & Princess Parties at the Magic Kingdom here at WDW, Captain Jack's line is definitely the longest. They don't have him out and about on a daily basis, other than the Pirate Tutorial show.

I wonder if Johnny knows how popular CJS is @ Disneyland.
