Ooooo... I am sure Christian Bale, Billy Crudup and the other FBI folks will be in town!! I wonder if there will be more filming around town that week. I have taken off May 8 & 9 for our garage sale but can change my plans if I know I can get a few good photos!!! :claphands

I will be there with friend on the 7th as her Bale-sitter :)
I'm hoping she gets her moment like I was so blessed to have with Johnny. Although I think its funny, after hearing all of the wonderful JD stories, he is moving up on Christian Bale in the celebrity crush category.
Karen - April 24, 2008 01:54 AM (GMT)
LOL I just hope as many people as possible get to have their "moments!" :D
raetherese - April 24, 2008 12:48 PM (GMT)
I just noticed the other major stars wouldn't be around. This is very disheartening. My poor Balefan friend. :( If you guys hear any different, give me a shout out... I would love for her to be able to meet Christian Bale... it would mean so much!

We know that because of the FBI filming that Johnny won't be a part of that, but who knows what other scenes they might film in Madison?
raetherese - April 24, 2008 01:10 PM (GMT)
Good point Karen. I will keep hope alive for her Bale sighting :)

I'm betting that this one happens on schedule. Ya just don't mess around too much with the already agreed upon schedule in a state capitol building.
raetherese - April 30, 2008 03:28 AM (GMT)
You are right Karen. I believe that the Governor is off campaigning and the legislature is not in session right now so they probably have to get this stuff done while the place is somewhat empty.
shakenbsis - April 30, 2008 03:55 AM (GMT)
yes, ( guess I put this in the wrong thread) Andy over at Rod's blog got a call to come pick up his SOC sec card in Madison which he left in his coat pocket when he was an extra in Oshkosh.

Yikes!! He is lucky that someone found that!!
You coming up to Madison for any filming shakenbsis?
shakenbsis - April 30, 2008 04:10 AM (GMT)
Hey Rachel - I thought about it, but I think I'm going to wait for Columbus since I've become so attached to it and some of the 'folk' there!! I do love Madison but I don't really want to get hung up in a bunch of traffic over there. Weird, huh since Madison is actually closer for me...
Karen - April 30, 2008 04:11 AM (GMT)
This is what we know about upcoming filming:
Madison: sometime "next week"
Milwaukee: weekend of 5/02
Beaver Dam & Columbus: 5/5 & 6
Or so we've been told. lol All dates are tentative.....lol
raetherese - April 30, 2008 04:13 AM (GMT)
Even though I live here, the thought of dealing with the whole square area is nighmareish. Parking, students, people going to work, plus the movie.. yikes :) Columbus is definately much easier and I do agree.. the people are friendly.
Maybe I will see you in Columbus.....
Rachel

I was debating going but my husband is out of town and I don't think I could handle to drive and wait with my 22-month old daughter  I had to let my hubby go this weekend since he let me go up to Oshkosh 3 times for Johnny

Great articles Karen, thanks. :thumbsup
I wonder how many employees suddenly found they had a desperate need to work very, very late last night? I know I would have. :D

OK I know this really doesn't fit here in this thread, but its the one everyone is reading right now lol
Soap box alert! ;)
I know we all have a great time keeping up with the filming and if anyone is trying to get on location and are getting frustrated with the lack of schedules, please remember that first and foremost Universal's job is to make a good movie.
Not fit into people's vacation time or to accomdate fans. So I hope we can cut them some slack and still have fun following the filming news and maybe spotting a star here and there. But we want a good movie too and a stress free environment for them all. ;)

I live very close to the captiol and on my way home tonight I decided to follow some of the yellow PE signs I recognized from Columbus (my hometown) and see where they took me. It looks like all of the trailors are in a secured fenced in area a few blocks away (behind my bf's apt) and there's a big tent where they eat lunch set up in a different location a few blocks from that. Then I looped around the capitol. I saw only two white trailers and a little bit of yellow tape...one of the wings of the capitol was all lit up inside too, while the rest of them were dark. That's about all...it's pretty low key. I don't even know if they're shooting tonight or tomorrow night or what?
Just thought I'd give ya the Madison scoop on what the scene looks like here. I'm still trying to figure out when to go back to Columbus this week...
herestoyou - May 5, 2008 04:44 AM (GMT)
Thanks for the info. Jenaay--since it was supposed to be indoor filming last night, maybe tonight it's the clean up inside the building. There is supposed to be some outside shooting, according to our last reports, tomorrow in Madison. We'll have to keep a :captain for Columbus/BDam..

Thanks Jennaay. :thumbsup
We have had no news whatsoever all weekend about filming, so your post is the highlight. :D
Good luck getting within viewing distance in Columbus :crossfingers

From what I am hearing, today is a big day down at the capital. It will almost 70 degrees out woohoo for their outdoor filming. I am not sure if they are just using the outside of the capital or if they are using parts of State Street also. There was something I read or heard somewhere about having a section for people to view but I think that it will be off the capital square a little ways. If I hear any gossip today I"ll let you know.
Have a great day all!

Are you going down there to watch????
And thank you Jennaay83 for the update. It was nice to hear something about the filming over the weekend.
raetherese - May 5, 2008 12:26 PM (GMT)
I haven't decided if I'm going to head down or not. It is going to be nice out but parking is kind of a bear down there. I'm still torn :)
What is a gal to do?
Jennaay83 - May 5, 2008 07:59 PM (GMT)
Just got back from a little walk up to the square from my apartment on this gorgeous day. Lots more activity than there was last night up by the capital. Old cars are lining one street on the square and down east washington a block. Crew people with walkie-talkies are running around and captial police and security are all over the place. There's also trailors lining another street on the square. So it looks like some outdoor filming is yet to take place. I just got back, it's almost 3 pm. I just didn't feel like sitting up there any longer.
Not sure if I'll go back up later...looks like i might head to columbus tomorrow and wednesday now.
