Thanks for posting this. The PE blog has had some conflicting info about day/night shooting so any update is appreciated :)

We are planning for Columbus to be our last big get together. It will be sad to see it come to an end :( But we will have fun that final day.

From what I have heard, the Beaver Dam scene is a 30 second scene of Dillinger walking into the hotel, getting a hotel key and walking upstairs.

I am going to Columbus on the 29th for sure! I am going to bring my 4 year old in hopes that he can see Johnny, maybe get an autograph??!!

What time are you expecting to go?

Karen - April 24, 2008 07:10 PM (GMT)
Back to Columbus on the 28th?

This Columbus/Beaver Dam thing just gets more and more confusing. How close are they to each other?

You need multiple personalities to keep up with where and when now! :P

Last report I saw on Beaver Dam, they expected only a 1/2 day shoot....

Karen: according to Google Earth.... from Beaver Dam to Columbus is a bout 12.8 miles/ 24 min drive..... so I guess it is VERY possible to film BOTH Beaver Dam and Columbus in one day!!!!

Texas..... I hope you are NO WHERE near the bad weather they have been having there... heard this morning on the news that Texas had some tornados.....
keep your head down Karen.... we need our fearless leader!!!! ;)

raetherese - April 25, 2008 02:43 PM (GMT)
Good dective work Minxie. The nice thing about Beaver Dam and Columbus is that it is a 65mph that seperates them so it is a really quick trip.

The weather report is looking colder on Monday and Tuesday upper 40's and 50's.

Karen I hope your weather clears up and you are safe and sound :)

Karen - April 25, 2008 06:15 PM (GMT)
Oh I'm fine, thanks y'all....it's just spring here in the Lone Star state and this is usual stuff for this time of year. B)

Thanks everyone...so far? So good here. This is just typical spring weather here.

Heard that Beaver Dam would get a half day of filming on Monday then half day at Columbus.

Here's another Columbus/Beaver Dam update

It seems a little conflicting still or am I reading it wrong? It says that filming is expected to move to Milwaukee before it returns to the area and the filming at The Rogers hotel in Beaver Dam and in Columbus on Monday.

I am reading that as they are going to Milwaukee first and THEN going to BD and Columbus... wasnt Milwaukee moved back to May?

herestoyou - April 26, 2008 06:07 AM (GMT)
There's another thread that has an article that states that Milwaukee has been pushed back to May 2. I think the latest info. is 1/2 day in Columbus/Beaver Dam on Monday?(it's hard to keep up-lol)

Yes that's the latest that we have. AND I think sometimes these news reports muct combine news stories...makes ya wonder if they read them? lol

Robbi - April 26, 2008 04:11 PM (GMT)
You are all right about the distance between Columbus and Beaver Dam about 14 miles......
I live not far from either...
They have the Main Road Closed to Columbus.
And from what we here filming is going to be Tuesday.
Milwaukee has been rescheduled to for the weekend of May 2nd.
That is all I know so far....
:crossfingers

herestoyou - April 26, 2008 05:02 PM (GMT)
Thanks for the info. Robbi---it's tough keeping up with the Dillinger gang! :D

shakenbsis - April 26, 2008 05:07 PM (GMT)
Yes! Very hard to keep it all straight.

Was in Columbus last night and the coblestones were back down and streets barricaded, but this AM Rod (via: Jenny in comments) posted that the cobbles have been pulled up and there would be a CHANGE!)

Who knows, stay tuned... B)

Karen - April 26, 2008 10:50 PM (GMT)

Christine M - April 26, 2008 11:23 PM (GMT)
Thanks Karen for posting the link.

Snow? Columbus residents, is snow normal for you this time of here?

Also, I guess with movie production you always need to be aware of Murphy's law and have a plan B. ;)

Those of us who are not familiar with the inner makings of a film sure are getting an education on how a film is made and how filming times are not set in stone.

Karen - April 26, 2008 11:37 PM (GMT)
Yup, the word "tentative" gets a good work out.

shakenbsis - April 27, 2008 12:51 AM (GMT)
It's a little late in the year for snow in southern WI, but probably not so unusual for up north by Little Bo. We have snow sometoimes in May still, and I remember once a freak storm in June. But this year has been the worst in recorded history for Souther WI as far as snowfall is concerned. I for one am DONE with it for this year!!!! AARRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Thanks Karen, yes, sounds like it's delayed a day. Sorry about the weather forecast for those in the area :( , but I do like the mayor's idea of "Dillinger Days" leading up to the opening of the film. :)

MaggieP - April 27, 2008 05:42 PM (GMT)
My husband works for the county fixing plow trucks, so we don't mind the snow because he gets overtime, however- I certianly do NOT WANT IT TO SNOW!!! They said on Friday it was going to snow today and its now its 64 degrees outside and sunny..those wheather people aren't right...??

YAY FOR TUESDAY IN COLUMBUS!! Hopefully the trip will be worth while, if not..oh well. He already shook my hand once, just wanted my son to see him! :P

YAY FOR :jdr

Here is a link that was posted on Rod's blog. The link has a slide show of various scenes in Columbus. One slide shows a picture of Michael Mann, Johnny, and a woman, who is believed to be the current owner of the Poser mansion.

That's a great site Christine--thanks for the link. :) Here's the pic of Johnny/Mann and unidentified lady. I think there's speculation it could be the owner of the Poser house?

Donna,

You are very welcome. Thank you for posting that fabulous photo. :snoopy

Billiroo - April 27, 2008 08:54 PM (GMT)
That is a gorgeous overcoat Johnny has on looks luxurious. He has his leather jacket on under it...I like that leather jacket but I miss the one he always wore that looked totally worn. I too was wondering who that lady is. It is a good picture, thanks.

Osh - April 27, 2008 09:16 PM (GMT)
The comments in Rod's blog identify the lady as Mary Poser, owner of the Poser Mansion.

Karen - April 27, 2008 11:23 PM (GMT)
Many thanks to Christine M, Donna and Osh for the link, pic and info on who the lady is with MM and JD! :teamdepp

Adding my thanks to Christine/Osh for the great link(love the slideshow) and the info. about MPoser. :)

Boy the rumors of the filming delay are flying.... Columbus rumor mill has Michael Mann in the hosptial and Rod's blog has posts of JD buying cold medicine at a Walgreens 20 miles from Little Bo.

Either way, I hope everyone is well if that is the case. My gut tells me that with the shoot at Little Bo extended they wanted to give people time off before hitting it hard in Columbus/Beaver Dam, Madison, and Milwaukee.

Karen - April 28, 2008 12:36 PM (GMT)
Thanks Rachel, I just love reading what's out there woohoo don't ya just looooooooooooove rumors!! ;) Who knows? BUT in anycase, looks like everyone will get a few days off. :thumbsup

Thanks everyone for the great links.... playing a little catch up this morning....
It looks like the latest is NO filming this week in Columbus? And here I thought it would a slow "news" weekend.... :P
