Dillinger flick update

The "Public Enemies" shoot officially begins Monday. According to published reports, Johnny Depp's first-day agenda involves a bank heist in Columbus, Wis., a small town about 30 miles east of Madison. Director Michael Mann also is eyeing rooms in the Wisconsin State Capitol to stand-in for FBI chief Edgar J. Hoover's office.

Advance details are sketchy due to mobs of fans eager to glimpse Depp in action as '30s gangster John Dillinger. As Universal publicist Dave Fulton puts it, "My hands are kind of tied for security reasons."

Also up in the air: Which actors will portray the late Judge William J. Murray, Prosecutor Robert Estill, Sheriff Lillian Holley and other locals associated with the robber's brief stay in the old Lake County Jail. Casting "is an ongoing process," Fulton said. "I don't know if they've even been cast yet."

Thanks Karen--I think they realize now what a huge draw Johnny will be, so sounds like they're trying to keep film dates/times more secret now. I hope some local talent gets picked for the roles they mentioned.......
