Wow I am so excited. I haven't watched the Oscars in years, but this year The Kid and I are going to be glued to the tube. I have been trying to decide what kinds of snacks we need so we don't have to get up off the couch. :lol:

I was fortuneate to be able to sit down with Disney author Rob Kidd to talk about his wonderful series of young Jack Sparrow books around Chirstmas and decided to save his wonderful interview for OSCAR DAY instead of it getting lost in the holiday madness.

So, here's our first of many suprises in honor of OSCAR DAY

That's so true Karen---for a man that loves making films, disappearing into his characters, and surprising his audiences, he's already won my "Oscar". The fact that the Academy has nominated him 3 times in the past 4 years speaks volumes. Whatever happens, congrats Johnny! :claphands I'm just looking forward to seeing him at the show and if he wins, that's icing on the cake! :D

E! just had a wonderful feature on Colleen Atwood. In the interview she was talking about how harried she is trying to get her work done on Public Enemies. She was joking about dressing for the red carpet and how this year she wouldn't have time to design something for herself. She's taking her daughter with her today.

I can't seem to get away from the silly tv. E! had a fun segment with the parrot and monkey from Pirates. The hostess had some nice things to say about Johnny! This is all so much fun. I love having Johnny in play this year.

I can't get away from E! either.

They are dropping Johnny related items here and there. I'm enjoying the show!
I liked the segment on Couples "In all their glory." with Johnny showing. :)

I liked it when the girls on the show picked Johnny for best actor, and young Ben, the E! critic actually stuck to his guns and picked DDL, even though our internet voting proved him wrong! LOL. He's stuck with the wrong actor!
Good for him, sticking to his prediction. I almost thought he might change his mind! LOL...

I really feel he's going to WIN this year!
I need to drag myself out and get some 'crisps', red wine, Carribbean Iced tea, and maybe some Sticky Toffee Pudding for an at home Johnny Oscar party! :D
