LOL I was thinking the same thing, Holly! One can only hope. I bet we'll know when he's there by the hootin' and hollerin' going on.

We all know how Johnny is, don't we? :lol: I always turn the red carpet shows on late because I know that Johnny won't show up until maybe the last half hour to 45 minutes of the program. The later he gets there the shorter the time he will have to spend there at the awards.

That's why I'm hoping Van goes with him----spend all that time getting ready and then run down the red carpet? :lol: I've noticed when she attends with him, they may not get there "early", but they get there so he has time for some interviews. When he's solo, he tends to get there late and then rush(or run) to get inside at times. Keeping :crossfingers that Van attends, too. :)

I sure do too Karen. I was fortunate enough to get a bleacher seat for the red carpet. Despite the rain in the forcast I am going to be there. I figure is Jeppody can take it for the Sweeney Todd premiere I can take it for the Oscars. I'm hoping to have a great camera with big lense on it for the event. I'll be sure to share whatever photos I do manage to snag.

How exciting! Did you win the tickets for the bleachers? I have tickets for Good Morning America the next morning and they won't let us know who the guests are.

What great news!! Don't worry, if you're in the bleachers, the news reports have shown them completely covered, along with the carpet. Of course, you're probably planning on getting there early for your best spot, so bring the rain gear! I hope the rain moves through before the afternoon----can't wait to hear your report! :)

Luckily the seats are assigned. There is talk that my friend and I may be in the front row. But I'm not counting my chickens until they've hatched. I went out and rented a nice camera with a bigger lense. Positive thoughts that I figure out all the bells and whistles.

In answer to the question as to how I lucked out and got the ticket: there is a lottery for the bleacher seats that anyone can enter. However my friend and guardian angel Alicia has a friend who is a producer's assistant on the show. She informed Alicia that they had a surplus of seats left and that she and a guest should fill out the application to try and get one of the free spots. So our requests were chosen!

We have to be at Hollywood and Highland at 10:45am. That's what Hollywood is: hurry up and wait, right? I've laid in a supply of snacks so I'm ready.

Everyone enjoy the show and Joan Rivers and Ryan Seacrest's inane questions on the red carpet. See you back here Monday!

Wow. You are extremely lucky!
I looked at a digital camera yesterday. The bigger ones that look old fashioned seem to have a consecutive 16 photos in a row. The sales man said it clicks automatically faster if the flash is off. A person can edit the light using computer software, if the lighting is a little off. But I imagine THERE, there won't be any lighting problems at all! So ask when you pick up the rental camera, about automatic continuous photos! :crossfingers To you! :joy
