Public Enemies searching for photographers to work as paid extras

Date: 2008-02-18, 7:28AM CST

Searching for male photographers (6’1” and under and slim to medium build) that know how to operate cameras to work as paid extras for the feature film Public Enemies directed by Michael Mann – starring Johnny Depp and Christian Bale.

Public Enemies is a feature film set in the early 1930s – in the 1930s cameras were quite different than today. In order to recreate the look, the feel, the accuracy of the time, we want to gets a hands up finding men (20s to 60s) that know how to operate older cameras or today’s cameras that require a photographer’s ability to operate. I’m not talking the “point and shoot digital cameras” I’m talking camera lens, focusing, all knowledge and ability of a camera-person in the know. These are non-speaking roles needing the special abilities of real photographers. We won't be having you actually taking the pictures. You will be cast as a photographer.

If you can free up your life for a day or two (or even multiple days), and work as a paid extra (March through June) please e-mail me a photograph (close-up) of your face ASAP! Please also attach a photograph of yourself using your camera.

Please e-mail your photographs along with all your stats (height and weight, clothes sizes, and phone numbers) immediately to:

PEextras@gmail.com

In the subject line of the e-mail please put photographer.

Thank you so much. We look forward to receiving your photographs!
