Description: Public Enemies related content

I just saw that History Channel is airing a program called Crime Wave: 18 Months of Mayhem. It's on in a few minutes, midnight EST, early Monday morning, January 7. It will repeat next Sat evening, January 12. It covers similar content covered in Public Enemies. Should provide helpful background for book discussion in Feb.

I watched this show last night. I didn't see it all, but managed to see the last hour and 1/2 of it. It was interesting. I was trying to think how it would be to see Johnny play John Dillinger. I know darn well he would be excellent in it. Is it set yet for him to make the movie?? I'm still waiting to see ST...I'm getting fustrated.

Unless something unforeseen happens, yes, Johnny is set to make the film. :D

Thanks Karen. Is there anyone else set for playing any other of the ''bad guys'' along side Johnny, like baby face? I think this is going to be fabulous and I'm getting very interested. Watching the show made me get that way. Thinkng of reading the book.

I don't think any other ganster type parts have been cast yet. Also, we don't know exactly what the script is like---the book is rather long so I don't think they will include all of the gangsters--just my opinion. Christian Bale is in talks to play Purvis, the FBI investigator that pursues Dillinger...

I found this casting list awhile a go but, I didn't know how reputible the site was. It may accurately represent the written roles...or not. One of the roles says it's been revised Jan 08...so???

If the SHOWFAX.com cast listing is correct then it looks like Mann has elected to focus on a couple of the public enemies only. I was wondering how in the world he could weave all of the story together into a feature film.

I tried to see if what I did would work. I right click and then I open this part and paste. I'm slowly learning. If only I could make a video and have a camera. ..
