What about in Sweeney Todd? Who do you think is the protagonist? Why? Is it Johanna or Sweeney? What makes you think so?

OK I'll start ...lol...in my opinion, and it's just that, an opinion..I think Johanna is the protagonist, for the same reason Elizabeth is the protagonist in POTC1..all the stories seem to stem from her...

I agree with you Karen-Sweeney thinks his wife is dead so the hope of finding Johanna someday gives him hope and motivation for his deeds.

I agree with you both Anne & Karen. Sweeney does what he does as revenge for his wife and to get back at the judge for taking his daughter.
