Irfan Khan hasn't been linked with Shantaram before now - do you think him speaking out on this could mean anything? Or is it just that he's around Mira Nair a lot at the moment (Namesake promotion)?

I think it sounds like it was taken out of the context of a larger interview about Namesake.

I think it sounds like it was taken out of the context of a larger interview about Namesake.

Irfan Khan is also in one of four of Mira's current AIDS short films.

Here's a bit more of the reason for the "...very much on" excerpt.
It seems Irfan was originally mis-quoted on or around Dec.14., then attempted to fix it.
