Karen I didn't want to say it, but that was my thought exactly. Maybe he wanted to show Mann he could dress the part?-lol He does look dashing though :thud

Who knows? But I think it's a smashing look! :thud

It also looks like the exact same suit, just different fabric, that he wore to the NY premiere. The wingtips are a nice addition but I wish he'd lose the hat, at least while his hair is so short. Still, no glasses so I'm happy! :P

I really like Johnny in hats, but after seeing the clips from the TODAY show and the NY premiere, I just love looking at his hair!

Well if that's any indication of things to come, he's going to make one hot gangster! :thud

LOL I told y'all to keep a sharp eye at the industry screenings for "special guests." lol
There are more industry screenings to come and you never know what guests could appear! More news as we get it!

I love his retro looks. He looks so fine in this style of suit. It looks to me it is the same style as his black suit but different fabric too.

A couple of tidbits were posted on the Zone by folks who have seen the film, one from someone who was at the LA screening last night. This person got in thanks to a family friend who's a member of the HFPA. She said that Johnny was surrounded by folks the entire reception afterwards, having to make nice to folks. There was one waitress whose sole purpose was to make sure his glass was always full. When it ran down, she'd get him a new glass. Otherwise, she just stood off to the side. What a lovely job, having to look at Johnny all evening!
The other bit was about the film itself. It was dedicated to the Renal Ward of the Greater Ormand Street Hospital. How lovely is that!

That is such a touching gesture, and a wonderful tribute to a place that played such an important part in Johnny's life.
