Title: Biographies
Description: New

I don't know if biographies ever get discussed but here goes.. Just got the new Christopher Heard Photo Album. It's OK but nothing great. I've seen all the photos save one. The text consists of quotations by and about Johnny, again, very little that's new.
For me, the most interesting quote was
"Marlon [Brando] told me to escape movies for awhile. Take a year off and study Shakespeare for a while. That thought keeps ricocheting around in my head."
I would LOVE to see him to Shakespeare and have several roles that might interest him. There's a mention about JD possibly playing Freddie Mercury and Edgar Allen Poe. Again, rumors we've heard before.
I've got a lot of experience in the photo industry and have to say I was disappointed in the photo editing. I saw at least 4 photos from the same session. Lots of great photographers weren't represented, probably because the licensing fees were prohibitive.
Amazon notified me that another newly published bio is on it's way to me, published by Greenwood Biographies. It's a hefty $35 so it better be good or it's going back.

Thanks for the input on the newest book on Johnny.
We have tried discussing a couple of the various Johnny biographies including Mr. Heard's first book "Depp" in the past and the discussions were a bit awkward as he's still alive :) and we were all a bit uncomfortable sifting through his personal live.

Shakespeare you say?? Maybe that's what Johnny was reading on the yacht!?!
Thanks for the heads-up about the so-so Heard book. Let us know what you think of the next one coming your way, Leener. I hope it's a good one! :crossfingers

No problem, Karen. Consider the post a review then and close it if you see fit.
