Thank you for the link, Jesse! With all of the Sweeney news, I almost forgot about AWE...almost! The DVD will be terrific and I'm looking forward to Dec. 4.. I've missed Jack! :captainjack

Depputante - November 17, 2007 01:40 AM (GMT)
Thanks for this link. If you also click near the top right corner, there's the AWE trailer and stuff too.

Jack is becoming Iconic...historically.
Kind of sad. I'm happy to see these clips!

The development of multiple Jacks was interesting.

I'd be interested to see how these clips compare to the Japanese 3 disc version of AWE that's coming out.

herestoyou - November 17, 2007 02:02 AM (GMT)
THanks for the link Jesse woohoo so much to look forward to in December for those of us in the US!

That was really interesting. JD normally doesn't watch instant playback or "rushes", but did watch the "ghost" images of the multiple Jacks. I find that fascinating.

Thank you for posting that link Jesse!

deppaholic - November 17, 2007 02:27 AM (GMT)
Thanks, Jesse! I'm thrilled to see the bonus features include commentary by "Johnny Depp and Gore Verbinsky together" and "Geoffrey Rush." :snoopy

Cute bloopers, too. :P

Oh thank you I am so excited about the AWE DVD with all the extras and commentaries I will be watching for days. I have wanted to go over and over the muliple Jacks since the first viewing of AWE. Now I will finally get to. :P

Karen - November 17, 2007 03:17 AM (GMT)
Thanks so much Jesse!!! These are great, so much to watch, so little time. :shistle

wwjdd - November 17, 2007 03:21 AM (GMT)
Me too, Billiroo! I've been jonesing for the multiple Jacks more than anything else ever since I saw it. It's going to be an extended stay in the gutter for me, I'm sure of it.

Rose Sparrow - November 17, 2007 04:20 AM (GMT)
Thank you so much for the link Jesse! woohoo
What a fun scene to watch Jack and Barbossa fighting at the helm!
December 4th is a Tuesday. Hmmm... might have to take the day off . I want to sit and watch every second in one sitting. And if you take into consideration rewinding and pausing well... it might be two! :shistle

depplyinluv - November 17, 2007 05:23 PM (GMT)
Commentary from Johnny and Gore and even Geoffrey?!!! That clinches it. I'm taking December 4 off so I can get this DVD early and watch it over and over and over and... CAN'T WAIT! woohoo woohoo woohoo

I can't open those since I have a really slow connection; but you said that there ARE commentaries????? Those who got the 2 disc set in Europe have said that there are NO commentaries. So who is getting commentaries and where are they buying them from???

Oh, my! The clip with Jack and Barbossa is priceless.

I remember seeing a photo of that scene before the movie came out and really looked forward to seeing it in the film, to my great dismay it was cut. I'm so glad it will be on the DVD along with commentaries from both Johnny and Geoffrey! woohoo

December can't come soon enough! :snoopy

Many thanks for sharing this with us Jesse! :thanks

Film Factory is a UK site and I think their information is wrong. I got my copy yesterday and there are definatley no commentries which is very disapointing

Thanks for letting us know that. Wonder why and how the site is being allowed to post incorrect info? Wonder if Disney's seen it?

Is Film Factory part of a Walt Disney company?

Rose

They sure are.

Now that makes it more and more confusing as to why they would post something inaccurate about their own product.

herestoyou - November 19, 2007 02:21 AM (GMT)
From the Disney site, this is what they show as extra features on the 2-disc set:

http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp/wcs/st...ategoryId=13708

QUOTE
Bonus Features:
An In-Depth, Epic Adventure With Insights And Revelations That Will Blow You Away, Including:
Bloopers
Filmmaker Commentary

It doesn't say who does the commentary, but they do show one.

I'm assuming you ordered the 2 disc set, so this is very interesting indeed!

Yes, the two disc is all that is available in the UK, it says the special edition. There is optional commentry on the two deleted scenes from Gore who sounds completly wiped out and not that interested in doing it.

Its not a case of different distributors this time either ,and we usually get all the same features that you get in the US on the POTC films.

herestoyou - November 19, 2007 07:03 AM (GMT)
The plot thickens! I also checked the BluRay version to see if maybe this feature would be on that edition, but it shows the same material as the 2 disc set. Wonder how many emails Disney might be getting about this..

I know of at least one. B)

Jesse - November 19, 2007 03:20 PM (GMT)
I've got my copy today. It's the 2 Disc Special Edition but there are definitely no commentaries on the actual film.

The only commentary to be found is on the two deleted scenes and that is with Gore Verbinski.

There are SIX Easter Eggs, but I'm not giving away any spoilers! Just a clue...look for the Black Spots and you may find a perfect peanut!

Karen - November 19, 2007 04:10 PM (GMT)
Many thanks Jesse! :bow

emjaytee - November 19, 2007 05:48 PM (GMT)
The only thing that comes to me is that they have indeed recorded commentaries and are saving them for the big box set next year or whenever.

And I will willingly hand over yet more money to the Disney Corp. sigh.
