Thanks to our friends at Disney, JDR was granted an interview with Disney Press author Rob Kidd. Rob writes the wildly successful youth book series based on the adventures of young Jack Sparrow.

So, since we had the interview lined up, intrepid JDR moderator CaptainJackSparrow attended the Texas Book Festival this weekend and not only heard POTC: Jack Sparrow series author Rob Kidd speak she told Rob she was with JDR and he signed the first book his series for a fall JDR giveaway.

While doing research for his Jack Sparrow series, Rob visited the POTC sets and talked with Johnny and the script writers. This will be a fun interview for us!

These Rob Kidd books are really a fun way to find out back story on Sparrow and other characters in the series. Each one is a separate adventure, but they are also connected as a chronological story of the young Sparrow.

Although I bought these books for my nephew, I've been having fun reading them myself! It's great to find out the stories of young Jack!

Robb Kidd is such a personable person, he was a priviledge to get to meet and chat with. After a couple of rescheduled meetings, I was finally able to sit down with the wonderful Disney author Rob Kidd to talk to him about his clever and enjoyable series "THE PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN - Jack Sparrow!"
