Johnny used to fly kinda "under the radar" because of deliberately choosing smaller projects.
Like the Libertine, that made a mere 880.000 pounds at the box-office (I think).
But he always was the same sort of actor like he is now.
So I suppose the "power" factor depends on box-office, and how many times you are mentioned in the media?
If so; I have a whole set of subsequent questions.
What does this "power" exactly mean?
What can one do with it?
Better roles? (he doesn' t seem to need that, turned down real big ones voluntarily)
Have it his more his way portraying roles? (doesn' t need that either, he did that starting with Cry Baby already, and no sell out on integrity ever)
Doing productions himself - or to put it differently: is the Infinitum Nihil production of Shantaram a direct result of this "growing power".?
Questions, questions .... :)
 I have no idea how this business actually works...
