What do you think would be Walt's thoughts about the continued popularity of both Disney and POTC? Do you think he would be surprised?

I do not think that walt would have been surprised by the continued sucess of his work....he built it and the movies to be timeless....and to always be looking for the next thing that would put them ahead of the game....

Walt Disney may well be still at the helm of the POTC ride from beyond the grave!
Seriously, though, I agree with cjs--Walt would not have been at all surprised. He would have been pleased and proud of his brain-child and the resulting film franchise it spawned, and delighted to know that it has made so many people around the world so very happy, and will continue to do so for a very, very long time!
