Ok Karen...since this is a PG-13 site...
I am looking forward to the opening monologue....but I think that I will like him, contrary to what he may say

Man, that's a hard one! I think the scene I'm looking forward to the most is the one where Rochester trains Elizabeth Barry. I really like some of Rochester's speeches in that scene, and I know Johnny will pull them off just brilliantly! I'm also, however, looking forward to the portait painting scene, and the prologue, and the last monologue and... well, in short, I'm looking forward to it all!

I think the play has so many really nice pieces that it IS hard to pick one. And there's no guarantee that every scene will be in the film as we know there are new scenes too.
I think I really want to see the bit in Scene 11, where Rochester and the King have been drinking and Rochester tells the king that they expected so much of him (Charles) and Rochester has the line, "I can forgive you a great deal but I can't forgive you for not being God."
Yup...want to hear that line spoken. LOL

Oh yes there are lots of great scenes I'm looking forward to. (carriage rides mmmm)
Anything with Jane, in particular Scene 10--Dr. Bendo, but the most telling and pivotal scene I think is Scene 6--Portrait--for the melancholy, sarcastic wit, revelation about his marriage and I think it'll make me laugh (monkey!). This is a play that sorely needs those comic relief moments.

I'm interested in seeing how they handle timelines in this movie.
I suppose I'm waiting to hear that speech that Barry gives when Rochester realizes that she showed the manuscript to the King who interrupts the rehearsal. Like I said I really can relate to Barry's character.
