http://www.armyarcherd.com/When last seen in Hollywood, Richard Zanuck was hosting a cocktail party for "Borat" star Sacha Baron Cohen who was the toast of the award season crowd. Zanuck left immediately afterward for London to start filming "Sweeney Todd" with Cohen in another offbeat role, playing Signor Adolfo Pirelli to Johnny Depp's cutup Sweeney Todd.
Zanuck returned this week with the film having been completed and brought in for an economical (these days) $50 million directed by Tim Burton in 50 days. The DreamWorks, Par, WB film opens the final week ofthe year to qualify for the next Oscar season and then goes wide.
Zanuck enthused about the terrif changes for both Johnny Depp and Cohen in their roles with music. Helena Bonhanm Carter, Alan Rickman and Timothy Spall also costar in the pic version of the Tony-Winning B'way musical.
I also asked Zanuck about the future of the tabled "Ripley's Believe it Or Not" for which they had circled the globe choosing locations. He said he's still hopeful that he and Tim Burton will be back aboard the Paramount film which is getting a new script.

I can't wait for this film to come out. It will be exciting to hear Johnny finally sing. Knowing how he puts his all into his acting I am sure that we won't be disappointed in his singing. Thanks for the update Karen.
