I guess the question I need to ask is what does it
take to no longer be a newbie? Is there a number

There is no set amount of posts needed. It's a judgement thing on the part of Admin here. We had a problem with spammers posting several "normal" posts and then literally inundating some people with ads for their product, artwork and/or porn. So, this is strictly a judgement thing. Some Newbies never post. Some post right away. I know this is vague, but it's the only system that has worked for us so far. Again, once we get the "feel" of someone then the restrictions can be lifted. As a matter of fact, I need to lift some this weekend. LOL
