I've already heard from a couple of JDRers who will be attending the premiere tonight.... woo hooo!!! They promised to call in..as the evening goes on.

Can't wait!! From what I've heard/seen there are metal barricades separating the red carpet from the fans. Also looks like some bleachers have been set up along Main Street. It looks like Disney will be moving the cast along at a brisker rate this year. I'm wondering if the cast will maybe sign autographs for those that purchased tickets to the premiere instead......

I'd heard that bleachers were going to be installed, thanks for the update. That's the way to do it at the Oscars and other awards shows..let's more people see what's happening and makes it a bit safer. They expect this one to exceed all past numbers!

Remember the time differences and that Disneyland Premiere time is 3 hours behind Eastern time.... current premiere time is 1:46pm .....hours to wait...tick tock.

I've just heard that there are bleachers and pretty heavy duty barricades this year along Main Street, with some area that seems to be for the press and then roped off in the center of the red carpet, the area for the celebs to walk. Hmmmm I'd heard they were handling the massive crowds differently, and she says indeed they are...everything is very security strict there. More later...as my phones ring...lol

Edit! She just called back and said that there are bleachers in only one area...she's just had a chance to move around some now that replacements have arrived lol and said that the rest of the area is like it was before when standing along the red carpet. BUT the "star" area is cordoned off more than last year, as we said before.

They were told to stand at 3pm, which was an hour ago to make more room for more people coming through. There is still room at Sleeping Beauty's castle

The press has arrived and basically the set up is different from last year.

You got a square button when you came in and has the 4 faces on it...says the premiere and date on it.

The Disneyland map has AWE scroll on it and advertises the new Pirates Lair. The main park closes at 5pm, excpet Toon Town. LOL

Just googled for this - the UK are 8 hours behind. It's now midnight here and 4pm in Disneyland.
