I've heard that a pirate was seen taking a smoke break at the Disney Burbank studio lot today.


And they had the stages where they are filming blocked off again. Looks like the pirates on back on the lot!

I've been told that the P3 "henchmen" will be meeting with Gore on Thursday for show and tell. LOL

I've been told that Casting is looking for some Asian and World pirates to work tomorrow (Friday 9/01) at Disney. Must be from the first unit, not the second one.


OK before you ask, generally speaking *first unit* is the group of extras that shoots scenes with the major cast members/stars while a different group or *second unit* films scenes with less important cast and can sometimes film with first unit. Second unit can also include filming scenery and background shots. Here they are making it clear that they want first unit extras.

I've heard that asian pirates were seen on the lot yesterday. And that their outfits are really amazing
up close. Apparently the details will show up on camera as they are very detailed in person.


Johnny and Orlando were seen leaving the make up trailers.

Seems as though the Asian pirates were there on Thursday and they looked very impressive. Privacy screens were put up around the stage areas...

The *Pirate Kingdom* scenes will definitely start shooting tomorrow. (This is slated to be Keith Richards' stuff) The set is smaller than expected so only half of the people that were originally fitted will work. The rest will be in the later fort scenes next week or the week after.

Just got this note....about 1:30 (PDT) there were about a dozen Asian Pirates walking around the parking lot. So they must have been on lunch break? In the cafeteria there were 2 more buying lunch. Too funny. They were all made up with soot/dirt on their faces. No one that we would recognize

Apparently the 2nd group started at 10am today (9/7) since the day is so long they are staggering the start times.

Filming is going on as we speak with a second group (not 2nd unit) as we've been told it will be a long, long day.

This is taking place at Burbank so more info should be coming......

Again, today will be long as will Monday and Tuesday. All casting is in place for these days. Extra security will be there on Monday as there will be a location shift. Cast members will need an ID and updated cast paperwork that will have the days they are working stated on it to be admitted. Their name will be on the parking list. No guests or assistants will be allowed these days except for the principal actors ONLY and even they must submit a list of whom is coming. These are major scenes being filmed and security is tight. Filming scenes today in two locations, 1st and 2nd unit filming.

I've been told that the call time tomorrow (Fri., Sept 8) is 5:45 a.m. YIKES... and the day will again be very long but finally Keith is filming POTC on a very closed set to avoid spoilers.

Got this report in overnight, from Burbank soundstages..



Lee Arenberg (Pintel) was seen today (Thur 9/7) at the lot.


The filming area has been made very secure, they have been closed off for the last few weeks. Even before Keith started filming as even the area away from the street is blocked.


Security is high!

Again, Marty Klebba was seen on the lot yesterday all done up in his pirate attire, complete with his braided beard! Just like in the movie! lol And a very large good looking black pirate was also seen.

I've been told that this week is crazy for them and they have early shoots at Burbank and also afternoon shoots in Palmdale and then at Universal later on in the week.

Major scenes being filmed. Security is extra tight and NO ONE is to appear when they are not filming ....no exceptions. They are working within a tight deadline and Gore is persistent that no scenes are to leak this week.

I've learned that there are more long days for this whole week as they are trying to stay on schedule. They want to finish shooting in Burbank and at Universal so they can stay on track for Palmdale shoots.



There may be more casting to be done for when they return to Burbank, but that's not finalized yet.



And to keep up the tighter than tight security, there may be new IDs generated for everyone.

Geoff Rush was spotted out in West Hollywood this late afternoon. He casually strolled down the street hitting a few stores along the way. When asked about it he said he is still filming the movie. He was asked "no late filming today?" He said "not for me" ...he did say that filming is good.. great despite all the crazy rumors and that he and every one else is having a ball. He said that filming will probably take the rest of the year but he is hoping that he can still finish in mid Nov. as was originally planned.

OK...I've been asked about P3 filming, so here's what all I know.....



As we reported here a while ago, filming will continue through the rest of the year, however, it's my understanding that Johnny wrapped his filming a bit before Thanksgiving.



However we know he's been seen in the LA area as recently as last week.

I was told today that they are cleaning up at Burbank.
One of our JDR friends walked over to the lot and walked around the stages that they were using for Pirates and they didn't see anyone then. They did have the doors open and they could see some of the ship sets. They said it looks like they are cleaning up.

I've been told that AWE is filming *that* screen today and tomorrow that has to be all new comers, no repeaters...you remember *the one* they mentioned weeks ago on the hot line about needing new pirates who they've never used before.
