We've learned that Disneyland is going to flip the red carpet setup this year, with guests on the west side of Main Street and media on the east side. This will provide guests with far easier access to the City Hall and Carnation Cafe restrooms, as well as the Blue Ribbon Bakery, Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor and Coke Corner. An enhanced outdoor vending presence is planned for Main Street as well, to satisfy the food and beverage needs of those who are expected to spend the day saving prime viewing spots along Main Street.

This is good and bad. Well glad to know it Thank You for the very important information. I will now be on that side of the street across from where I was going to stand. I had planned the same spot as 2006 but I will be close to it.

My hubby needs some minor surgery so it was either 5/18 or the day AWE opened in theaters which meant I wouldn't be going anywhere for a few days. So, I decided to skip the premiere(I'll live it through all of you attending), and then can spend Memorial Day weekend in the theaters. Yes, I know, Bummer Ted!

Very very exciting for those going. I am still keeping everything crossed that they will be showing this on the web. I am going to be keeping an eye on micechat now for any pics of it being built up. woohoo

We had a fantastic time at the premiere and were very fortunate to have front row seats on the red carpet.

The press was not flipped as was mentioned and there were no extra vendors on main street. It was still a mad dash to get to the barrier along the red carpet, and this year was the addition of bleachers.

We were able to get Johnny's autograph and pics very easily and we were blessed in being able to sit the entire time.

I had heard that Disney security made several fans along the red carpet stand early in the morning but can't verify this at all.

We had to stand at about 1:00 PM. We could and did take as many photos of johnny as possiblea nd could get an autograph but as feared no photo with Johnny. It was a winderful and tiring day, Well worth it! Johnny held my hands and kissed my hand and huggeda nd kissed me. He was apologetic he could not pose for a photo with me. Just to see him and talk to him for only a moment was wonderful and a memory i shall carry with me always.
