Today let's talk a bit about why you think Johnny was attracted enough to something in this book to buy the film rights.

Feel free to jump in with an opinion or thought. ;)

OK...I'll throw in these ...maybe the silliness? Or the "adult" poems and double entendres??? The satire on society?? Just a couple of thoughts....lol

I have been thinking about this all day at work. I am really thinking that Johnny may have felt a connection to the author because of the Dandyism descriptions. I just feel that Johnny could make a connection with what the author wrote about getting dressed and how to go about doing things with such detail that maybe Johnny does that in preparations for each and every role.

I agree completely with the previous posts and also I think that JD enjoys the humor of the book. The book is a bit naughty with the sexual references and I think that also appealed to JD. Weird book should make for a unique film which is Johnny's calling card as an actor. B)

Nurseanne8 :shistle Naughty's the perfect word for those poems. Not the rythm of a limerick but the same feeling.
