This is an updated form of what I usually email people who attend JDR screening and Q&As. I updated it for the Fan Event this Sunday. Please read it carefully and don't forget to print out the attachment to your email and take it with you as well as your picture ID.


Some helpful things to know about attnding the P3 AWE trailer screening and showing of POTC- TCOTBP on Sunday, March 18. I know there is a lot of information here for you so please read carefully.

Many of you have never attended something like this before. Security is going to be very high and they will not tolerate anyone who doesn't abide by their rules. Period. Please know that we are guests at this event and as always the host determines the rules. The Disney people are the hosts and they can chuck you overboard. :)

Please note that even if you are on the list or have a pass, that the screening is purposely overbooked to assure a full capacity. Therefore early arrival is suggested. They do not guarantee you admission to the screening due to the overbooking practices, but if you arrive early enough you should have a chance to get in. A costume will help with preferential seating. A valid ID is often necessary. And be prepared to be told by Disney and their representatives what you can and cannot bring into the event. This is strictly a first come, first serve event and Disney has said they will give preference to people in pirate costume. Read the fine print on your email and e-pass very carefully.

Expect to have your bags searched, as well as your self wanded. They will stop any and all mobile electronic devices from being brought into the event area. That may mean your phone, camera, recording devices etc. Refusal to abide by their requests will mean you could be asked to leave.

This screening may include you in the theater with members of the entertainment industry. JDR encourages you to follow the rules of proper conduct, no asking of personal questions, requesting autographs unless told it's ok to do so, no passing on resumes or scripts etc. If there are celebs or Disney execs there that you recognize please again, follow the rules of the day as the Disney people set them.


Have fun, enjoy the screening event and please remember to let us know how they go on the board. Patience is key here as the goal is to have the event run as smoothly as possible and as close to time as possible. Please remember that at times when the personnel is stressed and things may not run as smoothly...to be patient. It is never done intentionally.
