Interesting Karen, I didn't see pics of the costumes unless I wasn't looking in the right place. Would the plaid suit be the one Johnny wore in Dead Man? The year seems about right.............

Now how cool would it be to have something that Johnny has worn hanging up in the closet next to your own..... Conjures up all sorts of fantasies in my head! LOL Thanks for the link Karen!

I don't believe that there are pics as yet. I thought I read somewhere on the site that they *think* it may be from Ed Wood?

It is special owning something from someone whose work you admire. I have Johnny's paisley shirt from Blow, the wedding ring he wore in the opening frames of Secret Window and a watch from the same. Hanging in my office is a movie poster from Fear and Loathing that was signed by the actors and Hunter Thompson (r.i.p.).

Oh how cool! If I may ask, did you get them off of eBay?

BigStarfan - February 8, 2007 12:33 AM (GMT)
The poster I bought off ebay. The ring and watch were recently acquired; the shirt worn in Blow was purchased from Star Wares about a year ago. Interesting tidbit, the woman who owns Star Wares used to own a set of the Scissorhands and the white shirt from Edward Scissorhands but sold them to a collection some years back. She said she has Johnny's suit from Benny & Joon, but isn't going to part with it. (Can you blame her?) I should soon the engraved keychain Johny gave to the crew of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when the movie wrapped. The Prop Store has or had the hospital gown and undershorts from Astronaut's Wife and someone else has the sword from Sleepy Hollow. The asking price for the hopsital gown is over $2K and the sword is over $3K. I have seen a drinking glass and wallet from Secret Window. The wallet can be seen lying on the desk and the glass is seen movie with some Mountain Dew in it. I think the asking price for the glass is $99 and the wallet, $249 (if memory isn't failing). From Premier Props (Ebay) I have a few "jewelry" items from Chocolat; one is the bracelet with the charm of a kneeling woman holding flowers. Juliette Binoche wears it throughout the movie and it can be seen on her arm in her love scene with Johnny on the boat. (sigh). I think I got it for $25. Since it wasn't a "Johnny" item, no one bid it up.

I really thank you for telling us about all of these things! You must be very proud to have them!! And I am so thrilled that you shared the info with us. Do you wear the bracelet?

herestoyou - February 8, 2007 03:32 AM (GMT)
Wow, BigStarFan, quite a lovely collection you have there. Would love to have a shirt Johnny wore in a film, how special for you! :)

BigStarfan - February 8, 2007 01:55 PM (GMT)
Occasionally, I wear the bracelet. The little charm, woman holding flowers, gets hooked into the fuzz of the winter purse, so for now she rests in the drawer. Spring and summer are coming and I'll wear her then. I wear the wedding band on a necklace that has a small jade heart that my dad gave to my mom.

Pixiedust - February 8, 2007 03:25 PM (GMT)
I see the descriptions but I dont see any pics, can the rest of you?

BigStarfan, you have a great collection. The watch from Secret window sounds pretty cool.

I also have a few things, I have the shirt Johnny wore in the Libertine, signed and dated by him and the ring he wore in Don Juan DeMarco, it's seen on his index finger throughout the movie. I have a prop sword from COTBP signed by Johnny, wasnt his sword though, and a piece of jewelry from inside Roux bucket in Chocolat.
I really wanted that ring from chocolat that he wore that looks like a belt, I think it was on his thumb, but got outbid, this one was on ebay, some of you probably remember.

BigStarfan - February 8, 2007 04:17 PM (GMT)
I'm jealous -- the ring from Don Juan DeMarco -- how sweet. Am curious about the shirt from The Libertine. Where did you find it? BTW, if you don't want to say, I'll understand. I inquired about the walking stick he used to no avail. It's like Waldo, where are the costumes going these days? I know the buckle ring from Chocolate. A man and woman with very deep pockets outbid everyone on most of those items, and I believe they got the buckle ring you refer to as well as the ring that was split and the tiny black stone on twine that he wore. They must be very wealthy; it seemed they had no ceiling for their bidding. (Must be grand.)

Pixiedust - February 8, 2007 05:39 PM (GMT)
Yes, that person bid on alot of items and like you said seemed to have no ceiling. They outbid me on so much, but I really wanted that ring :(
The Libertine shirt I got on ebay, but it was a charity auction and Johnny donated the shirt to the charity and the woman running it put it on ebay. It's really cool, he wrote "The Libertine 2004" and signed his name.
